Dear Nurturing Friend,                                                           Valentine’s Day, 2008

This day set aside to honor “gifts from the heart” is surely intended for friends like you. You have helped us to provide tangible support to over 19,000 maternal “profiles in courage” who are living reminders of what Valentine’s Day is really all about.

With thousands of college and working women still unaware of TNN’s practical, life-affirming services, I ask that you please consider making a special donation to sustain and enhance this vital outreach. It is difficult to ever place a financial value on any human life -- but, in truth, your Valentine contribution will literally save lives and empower the women who call upon TNN for help in their loneliest hour. This “Valentine” we call the Nurturing Network would be impossible without your support.

The Nurturing Network consistently achieves the highest rating among national charities each year for allocating 90% of all expenditures directly to Client services and programs. I can assure you that your gift could not be directed toward a more worthy organization or cause.

On a personal note, I thank you for putting the “heart” back into this Valentine’s Day. Please receive this card as your own Valentine gift of thanks from me and all of your friends here at the Nurturing Network.

With a mother’s love and gratitude,

Mary Cunningham Agee
Founder and President

Feeling alone and judged, Sarah, a 31 year old single mother of three with plans for entering Medical School called TNN for help. A victim of date rape, Sarah found herself abused and abandoned by the father of her baby and pressured by friends and medical professionals to abort her child and “move on.” Although Sarah knew this was not an option for her, she needed emotional support and tangible resources in order to follow her heart and her dream.

Dear Mary,

Receiving TNN’s support has brought so much validation to me. I feel respected by you and your counseling staff with whom I have worked so intimately as I relocated my family to a new community.
My decision to cherish and protect this life within me without the support of a loving partner has brought so much judgment from others – even total strangers. You have helped me to remember that I am a strong and courageous woman and to count my blessings. I am happy to announce the arrival of sweet Suzanna. Four daughters – wow!
The smiling faces in this photo are two of my daughters welcoming their new sister. I will write again soon to let you know that my classes in Medical School are underway. Thank you again for the emergency financial assistance that made this move to a safe location and new start possible. Please accept my warmest thanks.

                                                                                       With Love, Sarah

Giving a Gift While Planning for a Secure Future

Making charitable gifts and simultaneously planning for your future are complementary processes that can provide both financial security and a lasting legacy for your visions and values. Effective estate planning can provide a way for you to make charitable gifts while also:

             Increasing retirement income.
Making educational funds available for family members.
             Providing for inheritance.
Reducing or eliminating a variety of estate taxes.
Supplementing the income of a parent or other loved one.

There are many options available for effective estate planning, but the process itself is relatively simple. There are many professionals in the fields of accounting, banking, real estate and insurance to help. To learn more, please visit our Website at www.nurturingnetwork.org and click on the link, "Estate Planning – Gifts for a Lifetime" which you will find on our home page.

Thank you for considering the Nurturing Network
as a recipient of your caring and generosity.
