I would like to take this moment to express my gratitude for your interest in the Nurturing Network. It is a source of great comfort and encouragement to work alongside friends like you who both understand the plight of a woman facing the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy and feel called upon to offer her support.
Over the years, I have found that networking with other organizations involved in this vital mission is an important part of how we accomplish our life-saving mission. You may be interested to know that our Network cooperates with nearly 2,400 crisis pregnancy centers all across the country. During this past year alone, one quarter of our Clients were referred to us by these local service providers.
We also work closely with hundreds of faith-based outreach programs that share our commitment to ensure that all human life is preserved and protected. We have found that this kind of collaboration makes our common goal more viable and our collective efforts far more effective.
Our program is designed to meet the needs of all pregnant women with a special emphasis on assisting college and working women. These are the women for whom few, if any, resources had been made available until this international volunteer program of practical assistance was founded. When you are working with a Client in need of the support that our organization uniquely offers, please do not hesitate to call our office. Similarly, we will welcome the opportunity to call upon you should one of our Clients need the vital services that you provide locally.
What began as a modest, grassroots attempt to marshal the energy and talent of a few caring friends has blossomed over the years into a powerful Network of nearly 50,000 volunteer Member Resources. Our volunteers now form an extensive employment, medical, educational, counseling and residential network which enables a college or working woman to continue the life of her unborn child -- without sacrificing her own educational and career development.
Since our founding, we have provided a positive alternative to abortion to over 20,000 women by offering each mother an individually-tailored program of support free of charge. As you can tell from our website, the objective of The Nurturing Network is not a political one, but a most practical one: To ensure that every woman knows that all of the assistance she needs in order to continue her pregnancy is available by visiting our website.
As we expand our life-saving service to mothers in crisis in the coming year, there are many ways that you may be able to help. In particular, I encourage you to download the General Information Packet available at the bottom of this page. Our Client brochure which you are welcome to share in an appropriate counseling setting with your Clients is included in this Packet.
